GRE¢ç General Test –
Powering Any Business Career

With worldwide acceptance at top‐ranked business schools, the GRE¢ç General Test is a clear path to
success for individuals pursuing an MBA or specialized master¡¯s degree.

Why? The GRE General Test is the one test that can power any career, because it is the only test that is
accepted for admission to not only business programs, but for other types of master¡¯s and doctoral programs around the world.

The GRE test is the smart choice for aspiring students who want to pursue their MBA in conjunction with
another master¡¯s degree, pursue a specialized master¡¯s degree, or leave their options open.

Applying to multiple programs with one test not only is a cost savings to test takers, it also reduces the amount
of time and energy required to prepare for and take two separate exams.

GRE Test for Specialized Master¡¯s Degrees

Many business school applicants take the GRE General test for admissions to MBAs and specialized master¡¯s
programs including Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in
Business Analytics and Master of Science in Management, as it is the most widely accepted test by
graduate and business schools worldwide.

In the 2016–17 testing year, more than 35,000 prospective students chose to take the GRE General
Test to apply to MBA, specialized master¡¯s, or other business degree programs. This is a 39 percent
increase in the number of GRE test takers indicating business as their intended graduate major field in the past five years.

The number of test takers in Mainland China also increased. In the past five years, the number of GRE
test takers in Mainland China indicating business as their intended graduate major field increased by 51
percent — increasing to more than 4,000 prospective students.
