NEEV 2019

Design 5.0 - Your Launchpad to Success was the theme for NEEV 2019- the 3 weeks long Foundation Programme at WeSchool Bengaluru Campus. The world of business is undergoing rapid changes. The five forces that drive the growth of an organisation in this VUCA world are Design Thinking, Sustainability, Innovation, Global perspective and New age technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence. Therefore, the future of MBA also revolves around these 5 forces - preparing the students for what lies ahead in the next two years.

 

NEEV 2019 started with great zeal and enthusiasm on 27 June 2019, in the esteemed presence of  Chief Guest - Dr. Kalpana Gopalan, IAS,  Additional Chief Secretary, Youth Empowerment & Sports, Advocate Shri S. K. Jain, Chairman, Managing Council, S. P. Mandali Trust and Local Managing Committee, WeSchool, Shrimati Madhuritai Misal, Member, Managing Council, S. P. Mandali Trust, along with Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, Dr. Anil Rao Paila, Sr. Dean & Director, WeSchool Bengaluru campus and Dr. Madhavi Lokhande, Dean WeSchool Bengaluru campus.

The program was designed keeping in mind the well-rounded development of the students. In the first two weeks of NEEV, students had valuable interactions with eminent industry experts from various sectors such as manufacturing, retail, IT and logistics etc. The batch enjoyed diverse group activities such as theatre, clay modeling, painting and paper engineering, sessions on Inner Peace and Outer Dynamism Management, management lessons through dance and Zumba.

The third week focused on industry immersion. Students visited organizations like Volvo India Pvt. Ltd., Bosch, Toyoda Gosei South India Pvt. Ltd, Wipro Limited, Big Basket, 3M Innovation Centre, PIKKOL and Akshaya Patra to understand operations across diverse industries like manufacturing, information technology, retail, logistics and NGO. The program ended with a mind gym activity to encapsulate the learnings.
