PolyU Faculty of Business Scientists Rank in World's Top 2% by Citation

 

Nine members of the Faculty of Business of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) are among the worlds top 2% of scientists of their main disciplines for career-long citation impact (Ioannidis et al., 2020). Eight of them are current members of the faculty in the School of Accounting and Finance, the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, and the Department of Management and Marketing.

Professor John Ioannidis, at Stanford University, and his team have updated databases of standardized citation metrics across all scientists and scientific disciplines and provided updated analyses using citations from Scopus with data freeze as of 6 May 2020. This article assesses scientists for career-long citation impact up until the end of 2019, and for citation impact during the single calendar year 2019.
