Webinar Collaboration between Ubaya FBE and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Malaysia

Do you know how far our generation has been financially literate? However, how can we want to be literate if financial literacy at fintech itself is still lacking? The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) survey proves that 21.84% of the people are still classified as well literate, 75.69% are sufficient literacy, and 2.06% are classified as less literate, and 0.14% are non-literate.

At UTAR x UBAYA (31/5), the Dean of Ubaya FBE, Dr. Putu Anom Mahadwartha S.E., M.M., CSA, talks about "The Impacts of Low Financial Literacy in Fintech Growth in Asia". According to him, currently, there are many startup-based fintech and the like that support all parties who want to contribute to increasing financial movements in Asia. "Currently, there are many fintech that present innovative platforms that are not just peer-to-peer lending," he concluded.

Accounting Webinar: Not Just Money

Who participated in the webinar held by the Ubaya Accounting Department on the "Not Just Money channel" series 3 (7/5)? This time the theme is "Where do we want our shares to be taken?". In this event, two alumni were invited as speakers; they are Paul Raymond Widjaja as Partner and Co-founder of Jarvis Asset Management and Richardo Walujo as Senior Portfolio Manager at Semesta Asset Management.

The webinar explained a lot about stock investment. Investment is critical, guys! Primarily, there are so many people entering the investment world these days! Here are some tips from our two speakers for those who want to try investing 👇

  1. To invest, the most important thing is to have money management;
  2. Have the courage to try, because without trying, we will never know;
  3. Always open to new knowledge, because there must be a lot of new things to learn in investing;
  4. Must have high curiosity to find information;
  5. Can analyze stocks; you cannot just follow others.

The main point is to have the courage to try, do not be afraid to lose because there must be ups and downs in investing.
