Proposal on AAPBS Case Writing Competition on Respond to Covid-19


Introduction

The AAPBS Case Center aims to promote and enhance case teaching and writing for AAPBS member schools and their faculty, for which the Center has organized its signature AAPBS Case Workshop regularly. In order to further encourage the development of outstanding Asian-Pacific case studies, in conjunction with the surge in curriculum need for business cases related to the Covid-19 pandemic for class teaching and learning, the Center proposes to organize the first ever AAPBS Case Writing Competition on How Asian-Pacific Companies Fight against Covid-19.

Faculty of all AAPBS member schools are invited to reflect on issues related to companies in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the Asian-Pacific region through the format of a teaching case study.


Theme and Categories


The theme for submission cases will focus on any business issues related to Covid-19 facing companies in the Asian-Pacific region. Three winners will be recognized: First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize. Relevant cases should have an accompanying teaching note for submission. 


Eligibility

Submitted cases must be teaching cases with a teaching note.

Submitted cases must be authored or co-authored by a faculty member, or a group of authors of which the lead author is a faculty member, of an AAPBS member school.

Cases can be published or unpublished work.

If the submitted case has been published already, the submission should have obtained the authorization of the copyright holder(s) and the publication date should be on or after 1 Jan 2021.

Cases must be field cases or library cases presenting a real company. For field cases, a case release from the case company should have been sought.

Cases must be written in English.

It could be a single case or case series which will count as one entry.

No length limitation for the cases and TNs.

1. Amounts are pre-tax

2. Rewards are given as per application (regardless of single-authored or group-authored submissions).

3. One winner for each prize only
